Familynet feature highlighted: Replying to a message

23 November 2022

Communication works best when it comes from both sides. If you send messages to the world, but you have no idea whether they are read, the quality of your communication always decreases. On the one hand because you do not know whether your messages are appreciated, on the other hand because without feedback you cannot tailor your communication to the recipient. In personal conversations, don’t you also like it when the interlocutor occasionally nods or answers? This keeps the conversation going. That is why you can reply to messages on Familynet.

This is how it works:

  1. When you read a message, you can respond with a positive read receipt. That’s a “like” in the shape of a heart. With that simple gesture you motivate the writer of the message to post something more often. You also show your appreciation.
  2. The second way is to post a written response. A question or comment, for example. This guarantees that your communication will gain in content.

Tip: Respond regularly to messages from family or colleagues. Hopefully family will respond to you more often. It gives you the pleasant feeling that you are really in contact with each other.
